The Kenya Breweries Limited through its premium spirits brand, Johnnie Walker will sponsor a golf day at the Karen Country Club on Saturday 14th March 2020.
The tournament is a celebration of the brand’s involvement with the sport of golf, which includes the 2019/20 Johnnie Walker Golf series that was recently concluded at the Vetlab Sports club, after successful tournaments at Royal Nairobi, Windsor, Karen, Thika, Muthaiga, Sigona, Limuru and Nakuru Golf Clubs.
In addition to the Johnnie Walker Golf Series, the brand also sponsored the second season of Safari Tour golf series, alongside Kenya’s top professional golfers, Greg Snow and Dismas Indiza.
Speaking while making the announcement, KBL Managing Director, Jane Karuku welcomed guests to the Karen Country Club for a memorable Johnnie Walker experience.
“Johnnie Walker has always been a huge supporter of Golf in the country. From the recently concluded the Johnnie Walker Golf series, to the Safari Tour and our sponsorship of both Greg Snow and Dismas Indiza. This golf day is a celebration of our golf engagements throughout the season, it also gives us an opportunity to interact with the golf players and fans.”

The Karen tournament is open to both members and guests has so far received over 200 entries, with the final draw expected to be released later in the day.
Among the players expected to take on the Karen par-72 course include the winner of the Vetlab leg of the just concluded Johnnie Walker series, Ian Njoroge, alongside Nelson Check, John Odhiambo and Caleb Kositany.
The event will offer players several category prizes including Overall winner, guest winner, respective nine hole winners, nearest to the pin and longest drive among others.
After the tournament, DJ Pinye will be at hand to entertain fans and players at the same location.
